Iran detains 19 individuals for purported connections to Israel and their online activities
On Saturday, Iranian authorities declared that 19 individuals have been apprehended in various incidents associated with online activities and purported ties to Israel, in the context of increased tensions following recent Israeli airstrikes throughout Iran.It was additionally reported that according to a police report, in the southern province of Hormozgan, 14 individuals were apprehended for the offense of "spreading rumors and disturbing public opinion" via social media platforms. The authorities did not clarify the specifics of the rumors or the content that was shared, but they underscored the government's persistent efforts to combat what they characterize as psychological warfare and disinformation campaigns."These individuals were trying to instigate panic and confusion among the public by disseminating false information," officials in Hormozgan remarked. "Their actions clearly contravened national security protocols."In a different case, prosecutors in the central Yazd province confirmed the detention of five additional individuals accused of photographing what officials referred to as "sensitive sites" and distributing material deemed sympathetic to Israel. Authorities assert that this group was collecting and transmitting intelligence, although they did not provide specifics regarding the locations or the methods of content sharing."The detained individuals had been actively creating and circulating content that endorses the Zionist regime," a statement from Yazd's prosecutor's office indicated. "This conduct constitutes cooperation with enemy entities and represents a direct threat to national security."These arrests occur in the aftermath of a series of Israeli airstrikes reportedly targeting military and strategic sites throughout Iran, as part of a broader escalation in the regional conflict. Tehran has accused Tel Aviv of executing cyber and intelligence operations aimed at destabilizing the Islamic Republic.Iranian officials have consistently cautioned citizens about the repercussions of disseminating "propaganda" or material that could be construed as assisting adversarial states. In recent years, the government has intensified its control over online platforms, particularly during times of political unrest or international tension. The government has not revealed whether those arrested will face formal charges.

China s Ambassador to the United Nations has accused Israel of crossing yet another red line with its strikes on Iran
China has issued a robust condemnation of Israel's recent military actions against Iran, cautioning that these actions signify a significant violation of Iran's sovereignty and a concerning escalation of regional instability. In a statement aired by China's state-run CCTV, Beijing's UN envoy Fu Cong expressed profound concern regarding Israel's alleged targeting of critical Iranian infrastructure, including nuclear facilities."Israel has once again crossed a red line," Fu asserted, accusing Tel Aviv of infringing upon Iran's sovereignty, jeopardizing its security, and neglecting its territorial integrity. He described the strikes as a "clear violation of international law" and cautioned that they could further undermine peace initiatives in the region.Fu underscored the reported assaults on nuclear sites as particularly perilous, indicating that such actions pose threats not only to Iran but also to global stability. "The targeting of nuclear facilities is profoundly alarming. This is yet another red line that must not be overlooked," he stressed. While China has consistently called for all parties to exercise restraint amid the ongoing tensions between Iran and Israel, Fu's statements represent one of the most vigorous denunciations from Beijing regarding Israeli military actions in recent history, highlighting China's increasing discomfort with the rising hostilities."China firmly opposes the escalation of this conflict and urges all parties to act responsibly," Fu added. "The world cannot bear the repercussions of ongoing aggression and retaliation."His remarks arise amidst growing international apprehension that the persistent cycle of attacks between Israel and Iran could escalate into a wider regional conflict, potentially involving major global powers and further destabilizing the Middle East.China, which maintains diplomatic relations with both countries, has positioned itself as a neutral entity advocating for de-escalation. In recent years, Beijing has enhanced its diplomatic involvement in the Middle East, including mediation efforts between conflicting states.

My marriage With Mrs Modupe Owa
I met my lovely husband, Temitope Joshua, in the gospel church I attended. I was already a member before he joined. I was in the choir, while he was in the ushering unit. What were his qualities that you found attractive? At that time, to be sincere, he wasn’t really physically attractive to me. But each of those qualities that I didn’t like then are the very things I now find endearing about him. He’s tall and dark-skinned, and I still admire him to this day.How did he propose to you?He walked up to me and told me he would like us to have a relationship. When he asked me out, I asked him to go pray about it, and when our relationship was confirmed to be God-ordained through the mouths of several ministers, we got married after four years of courtship. During those four years, we met only in the church; I never went to his house. At what point in the relationship were you certain that he would marry you?Our relationship was rooted in our faith in God, and when you are in a relationship with a man whose heart is sold out to God, he will not disappoint you, because there is no lie or deceit where there is sincerity and divine leading. It’s the love of God that brings certainty. What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?I recall it was while I walked into the church that day, going towards the altar, wearing my white wedding gown. I turned back to look at the crowd present, and at that moment, I was filled with happiness and gratitude to God. You see, my parents had earlier warned me against wearing a white gown during my wedding because of their belief at that time that some brides who wore one failed to conceive. But I did.You recently celebrated your 30th wedding anniversary. What are the lessons you have learned so far?I learned that no one is immune to challenges in their marriage. Forbearance is one of the keys to a happy home. Patience is also key, because there is no perfect marriage. I also faced storms, but I held on, sought counsel, and applied wisdom, and the storms went away. What advice would you give to young people who are planning to marry?I particularly like to advise young women to seek a man whose heart is sold out to God. The times have changed; the way we were committed to the faith is not often what you see among youths today. Before you marry, cultivate personal discipline, let good elders in the faith mentor you, and most importantly, don’t rush into marriage.Thousands of companies are sacking their workers due to AI (artificial intelligence), no industry is spared, business owners are in panic mode due to its rapid change. The solution is to earn in US Dollars(up to $55,000) while living in Nigeria or Diaspora.

Intense Traffic Became a Life saving Turn of Events for Bhoomi Chauhan
Heavy traffic unexpectedly became a life-saving event for Bhoomi Chauhan, who narrowly avoided death after missing Air India flight AI-171 to London, which subsequently crashed, resulting in the deaths of 241 individuals. Chauhan, a 29-year-old postgraduate student, was on her way to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport in Gujarat when an unusually severe traffic jam caused her vehicle to halt for nearly an hour. This delay was crucial, as by the time she reached the terminal, boarding for the ill-fated flight had already concluded."I was infuriated and anxious throughout the journey. I kept urging the driver to take different routes, but every path was obstructed. At one point, I even considered leaving my luggage behind and running," Bhoomi recounted, her voice quivering. "Now, I understand that the traffic was God’s way of protecting me."The Air India aircraft, destined for London, crashed into a densely populated residential area just minutes after take-off. The disaster resulted in 241 fatalities, including passengers, crew members, and residents on the ground. Investigators confirmed that there was only one miraculous survivor—a 7-year-old boy discovered clinging to life beneath the debris."I collapsed when I heard the news," Bhoomi stated. "My parents were inconsolable. My name was on the passenger list. I would have occupied that seat." Her voice faltered as she continued, "I didn’t merely miss a flight—I was granted another chance at life."Authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation, and a black box recorder has been retrieved from the crash site. In the meantime, Bhoomi expresses that she is still coming to terms with her close call. "Every moment now feels like a gift. I will never complain about traffic again," she remarked with a faint, emotional smile.

Israeli airstrikes have resulted in the deaths of several of Iran s most influential figures including key military and nuclear leaders
These individuals include Hossein Salami, Ali Shamkhani, and Mohammad Bagheri.Iran’s top military official, the leader of the elite Revolutionary Guards Corps, along with the head of its air force and a former national security chief, have all perished in Israel’s unprecedented Operation Rising Lion.Their fatalities will reverberate throughout the nation’s military hierarchy and may significantly hinder the Islamic Republic’s capacity to counter Israel’s assaults. Here’s what you should be aware of regarding them.Major General Hossein SalamiAs the leader of the clandestine Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami was among the most influential figures in Iran, overseeing its most formidable military division and reporting directly to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.Born in 1960, as noted in a US sanctions document, Salami has been at the helm of the secretive IRGC since 2019.This role placed him in charge of one of the most powerful instruments utilized by the Iranian state, which has been crucial in suppressing dissent domestically and projecting Iran’s influence internationally.Experts assert that the IRGC finances and backs an extensive network of militias throughout the region, which it employs to target US and other military personnel across the Middle East. The IRGC is also thought to supply resources and assistance to Yemen’s Houthis, allowing the group to attack international shipping in the Red Sea and launch missiles and drones at Israel.Salami was leading the IRGC when Iran executed hundreds of drone and missile strikes against Israel in April and October of the previous year, marking the first direct assaults by Iran on Israeli soil.In footage broadcast by Iranian state media in January, Salami was observed inspecting what the media claimed was an underground military facility that had contributed to those attacks.Dressed in a green military uniform and sporting a short beard, Salami received the salute of soldiers within the expansive underground complex and walked over the flags of the United States and Israel laid on the ground. The site was reportedly producing “new special missiles,” as reported by the semi-official Iranian media outlet Mehr News.Salami

The House GOP has narrowly approved a 9 4 billion package of cuts to DOGE
The headquarters of the Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) is observed on May 2, 2025, in Arlington, VA.Speaker Mike Johnson was on the brink of a potentially embarrassing defeat on the House floor: the closely divided GOP-led House was poised to reject billions in DOGE cuts.He then took aside Rep. Nick LaLota, a centrist from New York, who had just cast a no vote. With the voting still open, several minutes of tense dialogue ensued before LaLota ultimately decided to change his vote. Within moments, the package of spending cuts narrowly passed.LaLota refrained from disclosing the specifics of his discussion with Johnson, but indicated to reporters that it pertained to his advocacy for state and local tax breaks — a matter so contentious that it could jeopardize President Donald Trump’s agenda in the Senate this month.“I had some discussions with the speaker that increased my confidence that this and future issues will be directed appropriately,” LaLota informed CNN, although he chose not to provide details regarding the conversations or any commitments on SALT.The actions of LaLota and another New York centrist, Rep. Mike Lawler – who was also present during the discussion with Johnson and subsequently agreed to vote yes – highlight the intricate politics surrounding the local tax issue currently under consideration by Senate Republicans. While this issue impacts a limited number of House GOP seats in competitive districts, it is anticipated to be a significant hurdle in the final negotiations of Trump’s tax and spending bill. The two proposals are distinct yet both demand substantial political capital from Johnson and Trump to achieve success. For numerous centrist Republicans, Thursday’s vote to eliminate $9.4 billion in federal funding for foreign aid and public radio and broadcasting was a challenging decision. This marked the first occasion Congress has officially addressed Elon Musk’s DOGE cuts — concerning programs that many of them wish to retain, such as PBS and the Bush-era initiative to combat global AIDS.Trump aims to utilize the seldom-used mechanism, referred to on Capitol Hill as “rescissions,” to reclaim federal funds that Congress has previously authorized — s

Elon Musk has stated that the upcoming product will be the most significant one Tesla has ever created He also mentioned that it is finally nearly available
Will Elon Musk ultimately fulfill six years of promises regarding robotaxis? This week, Musk announced on social media that Tesla’s long-anticipated robotaxi service is set to launch in Austin, Texas on June 22. The CEO of Tesla is placing the company’s future on autonomous vehicles (AV) and a robotaxi service, which he hopes will provide essential revenue as the company faces declining sales and profits. While Musk advocates for the potential of robotaxis—self-driving vehicles that can transport paying passengers without a driver—there are significant concerns regarding both safety and the business model's sustainability.Established automakers such as General Motors have already scrapped plans for a similar service after investing billions, citing the substantial resources required and the increasingly competitive landscape of the robotaxi market. Ford has completely abandoned its AV initiatives.Despite these withdrawals, some experts argue that Tesla's primary competition comes from human drivers working for Uber and Lyft.“The challenge is less about technology and more about economics,” stated Bryant Walker Smith, an affiliated scholar at the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School, who specializes in autonomous vehicles. “If a company that must pay engineers, mechanics, and remote assistance has to compete with Uber drivers who may earn less than minimum wage while maintaining their own older vehicles, that presents a significant challenge.”Nevertheless, Musk remains undeterred, making bold claims about how this technology could transform Tesla and the world at large.“I don’t see anyone being able to compete with Tesla at present,” Musk remarked during the earnings call in April, explaining his confidence in the success of Tesla’s robotaxi service. “But at least to my knowledge, Tesla will have, I don’t know, 99% market share or something absurd.Robotaxis are set to take to the streets.Musk warned in his social media update that the June 22 launch date is provisional. Regardless of when it begins, Tesla will need to catch up to far more established competitors.

The appeals court has temporarily halted the ruling that mandates Trump to relinquish control of the California National Guard back to the state
President Donald Trump addresses the audience while First Lady Melania Trump listens during the congressional picnic held on the South Lawn of the White House on Thursday, June 12, 2025, in Washington.— A federal appeals court late Thursday suspended a ruling that mandated President Donald Trump to relinquish control of members of California’s National Guard back to the state.Senior US District Judge Charles Breyer had determined that Trump unlawfully federalized thousands of members of California’s National Guard and must restore control of the troops to the state by midday Friday. However, the order from the 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals has temporarily halted that requirement.Breyer’s ruling, nonetheless, represents a significant victory for Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom, who filed a lawsuit against Trump and Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth earlier this week after the president activated the troops into federal service in response to protests in the Los Angeles area regarding Trump’s stringent immigration policies.“His actions were illegal – both exceeding the scope of his statutory authority and violating the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution. He must therefore return control of the California National Guard to the Governor of the State of California immediately,” the judge stated in his 36-page ruling.Breyer, from the federal district court in San Francisco, indicated that Trump had not fulfilled any of the necessary criteria required to mobilize members of a state’s National Guard and that the president had not adhered to a procedural element of federal law that mandates presidents to issue an order “through the governor” when they intend to federalize state troops.“Regardless of whether the Defendants provided Governor Newsom an opportunity to consult with them or consent to the federalization of California’s National Guard, they did not issue their orders through him, and thus failed to comply with” federal law, he wrote. The panel of three judges from the 9th Circuit – two appointed by Trump and one appointed by former President Joe Biden – announced that it will conduct a hearing on the matter on Tuesday.Trump expressed gratitude to the federal appeals court on Friday morning.“If I hadn’t deployed the Military into Los Angeles, that city would be in flames.

I Almost Married A Gay Man To Escape Nigeria s Hardship
I weighed all my options and realised it was time to leave the country. Sewa (*27) is many things — a queer woman, the breadwinner of a family of five, and a tired Nigerian with immigration dreams. In this story, she shares how her desire to flee the troubles that come with being a breadwinner with no job security almost forced her to marry a gay man who promised to fund her relocation. Like Sewa, about 56% of Nigerian youths are considering relocating in search of greener pastures. This japa wave does more harm than good to the country. For instance, the healthcare sector in Nigeria is dangerously losing its best hands. The country’s 200 million+ citizens are at the losing end of this loss, as the current doctor-to-patient ratio stands at one doctor to ten thousand patients.Everyone has their own story and reason for wanting to leave, but Sewa’s story highlights the bigger issues pushing many to make that choice: limited opportunities and a struggling economy. This is Sewa’s story, as told to MargaretEarlier this year, the US President, Donald Trump, suspended USAID funding, and it hugely affected the organisation where I work. The impact was so bad that the management began a downsizing process that reduced the staff size from 22 to eight. Immediately, the number got to eight, and I realised that I no longer had job security.  I also realised that it would be nearly impossible to get a job that would pay as much as what I’m earning right now.. I currently earn about ₦2 million monthly; getting that sort of pay in Nigeria won’t be easy I weighed all my options and realised it was time to leave the country.  I first started applying to schools and international jobs. Unfortunately, I got no job offers, but was admitted to schools. That also didn’t work out because I didn’t get any scholarships, and the school fees were more than I could handle. The cheapest school fees from the offers I got were £16,000. I had only $3,000 and about ₦6 million in naira. I considered saving 1 million per month until September, but it felt useless when I calculated and converted it to pounds. For context, if I save ₦9 million, it would be around £4,200. That would barely cover tuition, accommodation, visa, health insurance, and other expenses. I also happen to be the breadwinner of my family, and relocating wouldn’t stop me from sending allowance to my parents, paying school fees for my siblings, and paying my parents’ rent. Even if I figured out a way to suspend sending money home for one month, it still wasn’t a sustainable option. It was hard, but I came to terms with this. I also accepted that I could only move abroad through a fully funded scholarship.  That would mean waiting in Nigeria for one more year, so I decided to do something for myself— travel the world with about ₦5 million. I started with some West African countries that cost me about ₦500,000  to explore.  When I returned to Nigeria, I felt better than I had felt in a long time. While all of this happened, the nagging job insecurity was still there. It made me depressed because the next round of downsizing will likely force two or three people to leave their jobs.  But I didn’t want to keep thinking about it, so I took another vacation to Qatar, Rwanda, Kenya, and Ghana. It felt like a financially reckless decision because I could lose my job anytime, but I just wanted to put myself first for once. My friends were against it because ₦5 million seemed like a lot of money, but it was nothing when I compared it to the amount  I needed to relocate. I just had to convince everybody to let me do what I wanted.Being the breadwinner is draining, mainly because it’s been that way since my third year in university. My family were above average, so I went to private school. I remember my dad giving me ₦100,000 for feeding in my first year of university. Money had more value then, so that should give you an idea of how comfortable we were.In my second year of university, my dad had a diabetes relapse. It got so bad that he had to retire early. His health kept getting worse, and we had to sell most of our properties. We had only one car left, so my dad gave it to his driver at the time for use in public transportation. The driver got into an accident, and the other driver he crashed into died instantly. That was the beginning of the end for my family. The driver was arrested, and my dad had to bail him out. He also had to handle the funeral fees for the person who died. Unfortunately, the man who died was the breadwinner of his family. The family insisted on an expensive burial rite and kept his body in the mortuary until my dad agreed to pay for it. He also had to start sending money to his kids and the other people who were hospitalised. At some point, he had to start taking a loan to pay those bills. My mom was a housewife before all of this, so finding a job was difficult. They stopped sending me money, and I had to take up ushering jobs. I was a first-class student when these things started happening, but my grades dropped to a second-class upper after I began skipping classes to help other people write their exams for extra cash. My siblings also had to leave their private schools to attend public schools. Then I started getting calls from neighbours at home, telling me that my mom was looking thin and my siblings were no longer going to school. I had to start doing whatever I could to send enough money to cover their feeding, medication, rent and school fees. Luckily for me, I started earning well when I graduated from university. I got a job in a bank and eventually transitioned to a Non-Governmental Organisation(NGO). I was earning better than most people my age, but I couldn’t afford what they could because my money was going to my family. Most people who find themselves in my shoes usually feel some sort of relief when they find romantic partners who are willing to lift some of that financial burden off them. But I’m queer and that’s never really the case. Even in romantic relationships, I’ve gotten used to playing the provider role. So far, most of the relationships I’ve been in are 50/50. Sometimes, I look at my straight friends and how much they get to experience the provider perk, and I love it for them.I know I need therapy to unpack some of these feelings, but I’m not ready to be that vulnerable yet.  That’s the main reason why I chose traveling. It’s healing some parts of me in a unique way. Those experiences are mine. When I buy even things that are as small as clothes, there is a chance that my siblings or even my girlfriend will take them. But those travel experiences are mine and nobody can take them from me. But I’m back to work now, and another downsizing process is starting. I’m not sure how that’s going to go. That’s why I need to leave Nigeria. I don’t even care what country I go to, as long as I find a fully funded way. I got a proposal from a gay man who wanted to get married to please his parents. It would be a lavender marriage, but he promised to sponsor my relocation.  He seemed like a rich and well-travelled man, so I thought it was a good idea. But I chickened out after we started the process. I would have to lie to my parents and his parents, and it just didn’t seem fair to enter that kind of contract marriage. That was the easiest way for me to relocate. But I couldn’t do it when he said I would need to rebrand every part of my life to fit the perfect wife image his parents had in mind. Now that that’s no longer an option, I must find another way to leave the country. When I leave this job, I don’t want to earn less than I currently earn because I have too many bills to pay. I have no idea what the future holds, but I know I need to figure it out soon.

Wike No Part Can Be Bigger Than The Whole Ologbondiyan
According to Channels Television on Friday 13 June, 2025 In a recent statement that has sparked significant discussion within political circles, Ologbondiyan, the spokesperson for the People's Democratic Party (PDP), emphasized the importance of unity and collective strength in the face of political challenges. His remarks, "No part can be bigger than the whole", resonate deeply in the context of Nigeria's current political landscape, where divisions and factionalism threaten the integrity of political parties and the democratic process.Ologbondiyan's assertion comes at a time when the PDP is grappling with internal strife and external pressures from rival parties, particularly the All Progressives Congress (APC). The PDP, which has historically been one of Nigeria's two dominant political parties, is facing a critical juncture as it seeks to consolidate its base and present a united front ahead of upcoming elections.Ologbondiyan stressed that the strength of the PDP lies in its ability to unite its members and supporters. He argued that individual ambitions should not overshadow the collective goals of the party. "We must remember that our country, as a nation of over 200 million resilient men and women, is bigger than any single individual or faction", he stated. The spokesperson highlighted the resilience of the Nigerian people, asserting that they would not be swayed by attempts to manipulate the electoral process. "You cannot rig this election; Nigeria is bigger than you", he declared, addressing the APC's alleged attempts to undermine the democratic process.Ologbondiyan also called for greater accountability within the party, urging members to prioritize the party's values and mission over personal interests. He emphasized that the PDP must be a viable opposition, capable of challenging the ruling party effectively. In his address, Ologbondiyan pointed out that the PDP must focus on pressing national issues such as security, economic stability, and social justice. He argued that these issues should take precedence over internal disputes, as they directly affect the lives of Nigerians. The response to Ologbondiyan's remarks has been mixed. Supporters of the PDP have praised his call for unity, viewing it as a necessary step towards strengthening the party's position in the upcoming elections. Conversely, critics argue that the party's internal divisions are too deep to be resolved through rhetoric alone.Ologbondiyan's declaration that "No part can be bigger than the whole" serves as a poignant reminder of the importance of unity in politics. As the PDP navigates the complexities of Nigeria's political landscape, the ability to come together as a cohesive entity will be crucial for its success. The upcoming elections will test the party's resolve and its commitment to the principles of democracy and accountability.

US Military Dependents Approved for Voluntary Departure from the Middle East
The U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has authorised the voluntary departure of military dependents from various locations across the Middle East, according to a U.S. official speaking to Reuters on Wednesday.“The safety and security of our service members and their families remains our highest priority, and U.S. Central Command is monitoring the developing tension in the Middle East,” the official said. The official added, “Central Command is working in close coordination with our Department of State counterparts, as well as our allies and partners in the region to maintain a constant state of readiness to support any number of missions around the world at any time.”Trump Issues Sweeping Travel Ban Order, Citing National SecurityU.S. President Donald Trump in Washington, D.C., U.S., June 4, 2025. REUTERS/Leah MillisA second U.S. official confirmed that the majority of the affected dependents are stationed in Bahrain.Meanwhile, President Donald Trump’s special envoy, Steve Witkoff, is expected to meet Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi this weekend for a sixth round of nuclear talks. Although Trump has consistently voiced a preference for diplomacy over military intervention, he appeared less hopeful about a successful agreement in a recent interview.“I don’t know,” Trump said on the “Pod Force One” podcast when asked whether Iran might agree to a deal to halt its nuclear programme. “I don’t know. I did think so, and I’m getting more and more — less confident about it.”Israel has been urging Trump to approve a military strike against Iran’s nuclear infrastructure, a move he has resisted thus far, choosing instead to give negotiations a chance. Trump has made it clear he wants a deal that blocks Iran’s ability to enrich uranium domestically. Iran, in turn, has stated it will not accept any arrangement that curtails its domestic enrichment rights. This development follows an earlier Reuters report on the evacuation order for U.S. diplomats in Iraq. The defense official clarified that U.S. military personnel will remain at their posts, but “authorized eligible family members” will be permitted to leave at the government’s expense. The official described the decision as a precautionary step due to “heightened threats in the region.”Approximately 2,500 U.S. troops are currently stationed in Iraq, with many located at the expansive Al-Assad air base. That base has previously come under rocket fire from Iranian-backed militias. A ballistic missile strike last August injured five U.S. service members and two civilian contractors. Iran has targeted the base multiple times over the years, wounding dozens of American personnel.Earlier this month, Witkoff submitted a proposal to Iran advocating for a regional enrichment consortium — an attempt at finding middle ground between the U.S. and Iran’s positions on uranium enrichment. Tehran has yet to issue a formal response.

U S evacuating personnel from the Middle East amid growing tensions with Iran
the United States government has initiated the evacuation of certain personnel from parts of the Middle East, following a sharp rise in regional tensions linked to its ongoing standoff with Iran. This development signals heightened concern within Washington over the safety of American staff in areas increasingly affected by instability and the risk of conflict. U.S. defense and diplomatic sources, the decision to reposition non-essential staff comes amid a deteriorating security climate in regions where American facilities and allies could become potential targets. While details regarding the scale and locations of the evacuation remain undisclosed for security reasons, officials confirm that the move is a precautionary step in response to recent intelligence assessments. The U.S. military has reportedly placed forces in the region on heightened alert, citing threats from Iranian-linked groups and proxy militias operating in countries such as Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. These groups have intensified their rhetoric and posture in recent weeks, raising fears of possible retaliatory actions against American interests. In light of the evolving situation, the State Department has also advised U.S. citizens to reconsider travel to certain countries in the region, warning of potential risks to personal safety. Embassies and consular posts are said to be maintaining essential services, but with reduced staffing and increased security protocols.Tensions between Washington and Tehran have remained high following a series of geopolitical confrontations, including disputes over Iran’s nuclear program and its support for militant networks across the Middle East. Recent incidents, including reported attacks on U.S. bases and commercial vessels, have further strained already fragile diplomatic channels. While officials in Washington continue to emphasize a preference for de-escalation through diplomatic engagement, the ongoing redeployment of American personnel reflects a broader strategy to protect assets and maintain operational readiness in the event of further hostilities.

I m Not Sure Israel Has Everything At Their Disposal Without Assistance From The US Votel
retired General Joseph Votel, former commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), has expressed serious reservations about Israel’s ability to significantly degrade or dismantle Iran’s nuclear program without substantial support from the United States. In a pointed assessment delivered during an interview with Fox News on Thursday, Votel highlighted the formidable challenges inherent in any attempt to neutralize Iran’s deeply entrenched and widely dispersed nuclear infrastructure."I'm not sure Israel has everything at their disposal without assistance from the United States to (remove Iran's nuclear capability)," Votel remarked, drawing attention to the technical, logistical, and operational complexities that would inevitably arise in such a high-stakes military endeavor. His comments suggest that while Israel maintains a highly capable defense apparatus, including advanced airpower and sophisticated intelligence capabilities, the scale and resilience of Iran’s nuclear sites likely exceed the reach of unilateral Israeli action.Votel’s remarks are particularly resonant given his extensive firsthand experience overseeing U.S. military operations in the Middle East. His cautionary tone reflects a broader understanding within strategic circles: that any attempt to seriously impair Iran’s nuclear ambitions would demand not only precision and force, but also the expansive resources and global military architecture that only the United States can provide. As tensions in the region remain high and diplomatic solutions remain elusive, Votel’s perspective serves as a sobering reminder of the limitations of regional military power and the enduring necessity of U.S. involvement in shaping security outcomes in the Middle East.

If The Iran s Ayatollahs Harm A Single American That Will Be The End Of Ayatollahs Tom Cotton Vows
U.S. Senator Tom Cotton has expressed strong support for Israel's military actions against Iran, warning Tehran of severe consequences if any harm comes to American citizens. In a statement shared via his verified Twitter account, Cotton labeled Iran as "the world’s worst state sponsor of terrorism," holding it responsible for the deaths of thousands of Americans. The Arkansas senator accused Iran of actively pursuing the development of nuclear weapons and long-range missiles capable of striking the United States. He emphasized the need for the U.S. to stand firmly with Israel in its campaign to neutralize Iranian threats, declaring, “We back Israel to the hilt, all the way.”Cotton’s remarks come in the wake of Israel’s recent precision strikes on Iranian military and nuclear targets, which reportedly killed several high-ranking Iranian officials. The strikes have escalated tensions in the Middle East and drawn sharp responses from Iran, including threats of retaliation against Israeli and U.S. assets. In a direct warning to Iran’s leadership, Cotton stated, “If the ayatollahs harm a single American, that will be the end of the ayatollahs.” His message reinforces the broader U.S. stance that any attack on its citizens would trigger a forceful and potentially devastating response. As one of the leading voices in Congress on national security and foreign policy, Cotton’s comments underscore growing bipartisan support for Israel in its conflict with Iran. The senator has long been a critic of Iran’s nuclear ambitions and its role in regional instability.

Israel Have An Army We re Not Waiting For Those Who Want To Destroy Us To Surprise Us Danny Danon
Israeli Ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, has strongly defended Israel’s latest military campaign against Iran, describing it as a necessary step to protect not only Israeli citizens but global security. In a statement released on his verified Twitter account, Danon announced that Israel had launched “Operation Rising Lion,” targeting key Iranian nuclear and missile sites.Danon emphasized that the mission’s objective is to dismantle what he described as an “existential and immediate threat” posed by the Iranian regime. According to him, Iran is not only advancing toward nuclear weapons in defiance of international agreements but is also fueling regional instability through a network of proxy terrorist groups.“When the world is silent – Israel is acting,” Danon declared, criticizing the international community for failing to curb Iran’s ambitions. He called on United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres and Security Council members to take a clear moral stance, urging them to support Israel’s actions or risk complicity through inaction.Highlighting Israel’s strengthened military capabilities and political will, Danon stated, “Unlike in the past – today we have a state, we have an army, and we are not waiting for those who want to destroy us to surprise us.”Danon’s statement comes amid heightened regional tensions following Israel’s reported airstrikes on several Iranian military and nuclear installations, which allegedly resulted in the deaths of top Iranian military leaders and scientists. The operation marks a significant escalation in the long-standing conflict between the two nations.

Iran Can Not Have a Nuclear Bomb We Hopes To Restart Nuclear Talks Trump After Israeli Strikes
Anadolu Agency speak on Friday, June 13, U.S. President Donald Trump has expressed hope for renewed negotiations with Iran, following a wave of large-scale Israeli airstrikes that struck targets in Tehran and other Iranian cities. In remarks made during a phone interview with Fox News Channel’s chief political anchor, Bret Baier, Trump reiterated his long-held position that Iran must never be allowed to obtain a nuclear weapon.“Iran cannot have a nuclear bomb, and we are hoping to get back to the negotiating table,” Trump said. “We will see. There are several people in leadership that will not be coming back.”The comments were shared by Fox News’ chief national security correspondent, Jennifer Griffin, who reported on social media platform X that Trump had spoken to their team in the wake of the Israeli attacks. The strikes, which have drawn international attention and raised fears of a broader regional escalation, reportedly targeted key Iranian military and nuclear-linked sites. While Trump confirmed he was informed of the planned Israeli strikes beforehand, he emphasized that there was no direct involvement by the U.S. military in the operation. However, the situation has placed U.S. forces on heightened alert. According to sources, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) is now on standby amid concerns over possible retaliatory actions by Iran.“If there’s retaliation, we’re prepared to defend ourselves and our allies,” Trump said, affirming continued U.S. support for Israel amid the unfolding tensions.Recent reports also indicate that the U.S. has replenished Israel’s Iron Dome missile defense system, a move seen as part of broader efforts to bolster Israeli defense capabilities in anticipation of potential Iranian responses. Administration officials confirmed that additional missile interceptors had been supplied in recent weeks.Trump’s call for a return to diplomacy comes at a critical moment, as fears grow that the conflict between Israel and Iran could spiral into a wider confrontation across the Middle East. Efforts to revive the Iran nuclear deal formally known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) have stalled since the U.S. withdrawal from the accord in 2018 during Trump's presidency.

Al Houthi Sends Fiery Messages To United States
Agency SABA on Friday, June 13, Mohammed Ali Al-Houthi, a senior member of the Supreme Political Council in Sanaa, has issued strong criticism of the United States, accusing it of contributing to instability and conflict in the Middle East. In a statement shared on his official account on the social media platform “X” (formerly Twitter), Al-Houthi alleged that U.S. foreign policy actions have made it a central driver of regional unrest, terrorism, and humanitarian crises.Al-Houthi pointed specifically to the U.S. use of its veto power at the United Nations Security Council as an example of what he described as “criminal and destabilizing behavior.” He argued that Washington's repeated blocking of resolutions intended to end the ongoing violence in Gaza and lift the blockade has allowed further suffering and devastation.“The use of veto power to obstruct international efforts to stop the bloodshed and end the siege in Gaza clearly reflects a pattern of unjustified aggression and disregard for human rights,” Al-Houthi wrote. “This is not just politics it is a continuation of policies that fuel conflict and suffering.”His comments come amid heightened tensions in the region, where the humanitarian crisis in Gaza continues to draw widespread international concern. Al-Houthi accused the U.S. and its allies of enabling such crises through military interventions, arms supplies, and political cover for continued hostilities. He further asserted that Yemen’s resistance and opposition to what he called “U.S.-led aggression” are not acts of hostility, but a continuation of the country's broader goal of defending national sovereignty and contributing to regional peace.“Yemen’s stance is rooted in the pursuit of security and stability,” he said. “We reject the actions of any foreign power that seeks to impose control through violence or coercion. Confronting these actions is not only a right it is a duty.”Al-Houthi’s statement reflects ongoing tensions between the U.S. and the Houthi movement, which controls much of northern Yemen and has been engaged in a years-long conflict with a Saudi-led coalition backed by Western countries

Syria orders women to cover up on beaches with conservative new dress code
Syria issued a conservative new dress code Friday requiring women to wear burkinis or full-body swimwear on all public beaches, the latest cultural shift since Islamist-led rebels toppled dictator Bashar al-Assad’s regime last December. Best clothing retailersThe Tourism Ministry said the new guidelines were made in “the requirements of public interest.”“Visitors to public beaches and pools, whether tourists or locals, are required to wear appropriate swimwear that takes into account public taste and the sensibilities of various segments of society,” Tourism Minister Mazen al-Salhani said in a directive  tokoline24 news“More modest swimwear is required at public beaches and pools (burkinis or swimsuits that cover more of the body),” said the directive, adding, “When moving between the beach and other places, it is necessary to wear a beach cover-up or loose-fitting robe (for women) over swimsuits.”Men are required to wear shirts under the new guidance, which says that “topless clothing is not permitted in public areas outside of swimming areas, hotel lobbies, and food service areas.” Best clothing retailers“In public areas outside of beaches and pools, it is preferable to wear loose clothing, covering shoulders and knees, and avoid transparent or overly tight clothing,” according to the directive. Best clothing retailersHowever, the ministry said that in resorts and hotels “classified as international and premium (4-star)” and in private beaches and swimming pools ”typical Western swimwear is permitted.”It’s unclear what repercussions people who do not follow the guidelines will face, but the ministry said that “lifeguards and beach supervisors” would monitor people to ensure compliance. The new regulations reflect the influence of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS), the Islamist coalition now leading Syria’s transitional government. Formerly known as Al-Nusra Front, HTS is designated as a terrorist group by the US and UK.Interim Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, who signed the dress-code directive, led HTS in the lightning offensive that led to the fall of Assad, whose regime had been in power for several decades. In March, al-Sharaa signed an interim constitution mandating Islamist rule for a transitional phase of five years. Al-Sharaa said in December that rewriting Syria’s constitution might take three years, with elections potentially taking place within five years. The US-based Human Rights Watch said in March that Al-Sharaa’s “broad authority raises serious concerns about the durability of the rule of law and human rights protections unless clear safeguards are put in place.”Tourism Minister al-Salhani, who recently courted Qatari and Saudi investors for tourism projects worth “billions of dollars,” framed the rules as respecting Syria’s cultural, social, and religious diversity.”The announcement comes amid a push to revive Syria’s tourism industry following the lifting of US sanctions in May 2025 – a move US President Donald Trump described as a “chance at greatness” for Syria.

Milei speak of Argentina to move embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem in 2026
Argentinian President Javier Milei has announced that his country will move its embassy in Israel to Jerusalem next year, as the populist leader signalled his support for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s increasingly isolated government.Argentina’s embassy is currently located in Herzliya, just outside Tel Aviv. But in a speech to Israel’s parliament on Wednesday, staunchly pro-Israel Milei said he was “proud to announce” his country will move its “embassy to the city of west Jerusalem” in 2026.“Argentina stands by you in these difficult days,” Milei said.“Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about a large part of the international community that is being manipulated by terrorists and turning victims into perpetrators,” he told the Knesset. The Argentinian leader, currently on his second state visit to Israel since taking office in 2023, said Buenos Aires will continue to demand that Israeli captives held in Gaza be released, including four with Argentinian citizenship taken during the Hamas-led October 7, 2023, attack.Milei also criticised Swedish activist Greta Thunberg, who was detained and deported by Israeli authorities this week after being taken with other activists from a Freedom Flotilla Coalition ship attempting to break Israel’s naval blockade on Gaza.Thunberg has been a vocal critic of Israel’s war crimes in Gaza and deliberate starvation of the territory’s Palestinian population.“[Thunberg] became a hired gun for a bit of media attention, claiming that she was kidnapped when there are really hostages in subhuman conditions in Gaza,” Milei said, according to a translation of his remarks from Spanish provided by the Knesset.Israel is facing mounting international pressure over the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, with the overall death toll after more than 20 months of war surpassing 55,000 Palestinians.Delicate issueMilei had pledged to move Argentina’s embassy during his first visit in February 2024, in which he also prayed at the Western Wall, a revered religious site for Jews in Jerusalem.Speaking in advance of Milei’s address to parliament this week, Prime Minister Netanyahu said “the city of Jerusalem will never be divided again”.The status of Jerusalem is one of the most delicate issues in the Israel-Palestinian conflict, with Israel claiming the entirety of the ancient city as its capital, while Palestine claims its occupied eastern sector as the capital of any future Palestinian state.Israel first occupied East Jerusalem during the 1967 Six-Day War, before unilaterally annexing it in 1980 in a move rejected by the United Nations Security Council. Due to its disputed status, the vast majority of the 96 diplomatic missions present in Israel host their embassies in the Tel Aviv area to avoid interfering with peace negotiations.Currently only six countries – Guatemala, Honduras, Kosovo, Papua New Guinea, Paraguay and the United States – have embassies located in West Jerusalem.During his first term in 2017, President Donald Trump made the shock decision to unilaterally recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital before moving the US embassy there a year later, prompting Palestinian anger and the international community’s disapproval.

Sanctions in Lessons from apartheid South Africa in the Israel Palestine context
as a tool for political pressure has a long and complex history. One of the most significant and often-cited examples is the global campaign against apartheid South Africa, a coordinated effort that spanned decades and ultimately contributed to the regime’s collapse. Today, a similar conversation is emerging around Israel’s policies in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories. As calls grow louder for accountability and justice in the Middle East, advocates and analysts alike are drawing historical parallels. Could the same instruments that isolated apartheid South Africa be used again? And if so, how applicable are they in the vastly different geopolitical landscape of 2024.Sanctions were not the only reason apartheid fell, but they were a powerful factor. As Nelson Mandela famously said, “Sanctions helped destroy apartheid”. The economic, cultural, and legal pressure made continued racial segregation untenable, even for an entrenched regime.Let us explore how sanctions helped end apartheid.During the apartheid era, South Africa was hit by a wave of coordinated sanctions. These measures evolved over time, from symbolic boycotts to binding embargoes, reflecting growing international outrage. Arms Embargoes: The United Nations initiated a voluntary arms embargo in 1963 (Resolution 181), which became mandatory in 1977 (Resolution 418). Though initially resisted by Western powers, countries like the U.S. and U.K. eventually restricted military exports. Then, Economic Sanctions and Disinvestment: Appeared as a powerful tool as The UN General Assembly urged economic disengagement as early as 1962. Over time, trade bans, capital flight, and grassroots disinvestment campaigns—particularly in the 1980s—hit the South African economy hard. The U.S. codified this pressure with the Comprehensive Anti-Apartheid Act of 1986. In addition to Economic and military embargos, Cultural and Sporting Boycotts were very effective and harmful. South Africa was banned from the Olympics starting in 1964 and faced widespread cultural isolation, reinforcing its global pariah status. In addition, the oil Embargo and Legal Action, though not universally enforced, a 1987 UN call for an oil embargo added further pressure.Meanwhile, the 1973 UN Convention on Apartheid provided legal grounds for international condemnation and action. By the early 1990s, under mounting economic and diplomatic strain, South Africa’s leadership entered negotiations that would dismantle apartheid and usher in a democratic transition. The question now is; can these coordinated sanctions regime and the Playbook be applied to Israel, While the Israeli Palestinian conflict is distinct in history and dynamics, comparisons to South Africa’s apartheid regime —especially regarding treatment of Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza—have gained traction among legal scholars, activists, and even former South African leaders. Some measures that echo the anti-apartheid era are already in motion, targeted Economic Sanctions as we know Countries including the U.S., U.K., and Canada have imposed sanctions on individuals and organisations linked to illegal settlement activities. There are growing calls to expand these to cover companies operating in settlements, paralleling the divestment strategies used against South Africa. Also, trade restrictions against Israel are now in progress as the EU is currently reviewing its €42.6 billion trade agreement with Israel, with options on the table to suspend preferential trade terms or ban goods produced in settlements. In regard to arms embargoes, while a UN embargo is unlikely due to veto dynamics, some nations are taking unilateral steps.France, for instance, has barred Israeli defense firms from arms trade exhibitions in 2024, while other European nations are imposing arms embargos and restrictions including the UK. Meanwhile, Legal Pathways are very effective as Cases at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and International Criminal Court (ICC) are increasingly being pursued, echoing legal approaches used during the apartheid era.South Africa’s recent ICJ case accusing Israel of genocide highlights the renewed use of international law in this space. With mounting concern over the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, some Western governments have threatened to condition aid or trade on Israel lifting blockades. The UN could, in theory, invoke Chapter VII to mandate humanitarian access, though this remains politically difficult. In addition, Cultural and Academic Boycotts are very powerful tools; the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement reflects the global solidarity tactics seen in the anti-apartheid movement. While controversial and divisive, BDS campaigns have influenced policy debates, especially in Europe.Despite the parallels, there are critical differences between South Africa in the 1980s and Israel today. Among them is geopolitical alignment. Israel’s strong military and diplomatic ties with the U.S. and Europe complicate coordinated international action. Unlike South Africa, Israel is viewed by many Western governments as a strategic ally in a volatile region. Moreover, the Israel-Palestine conflict is marked by periodic armed violence and a broader regional dimension, further complicating efforts to build international consensus around sanctions. The global system itself has also changed. The relative unity of the Cold War era has given way to a more fragmented international order, making collective enforcement of sanctions more difficult. What we can do is to draw a roadmap to a universal sanctions regime against Israel based on our understanding of the powerful impact of collective sanctions against Apartheid South Africa —But Not a Replica. Applying similar pressure in the Israeli Palestinian context won’t be easy or universally supported. But history shows that sustained, coordinated international action—backed by grassroots movements and legal mechanisms—can shift the balance. The question now is whether the world has the will, and the unity, to act…

Rafael Grossi must be denied entry to Iran due to his exposed connections with Mossad Shariatmadari
chief of Iran’s ultra-conservative Kayhan Hossein Shariatmadari, has publicly accused Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), of espionage, alleging ties to Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency. In a report by Iran International, Hossein Shariatmadari claimed that newly uncovered documents reveal Grossi’s covert collaboration with Mossad, framing it as a deliberate act of betrayal against Iran’s interests. He urged Iranian authorities to take decisive action, insisting that Grossi’s alleged affiliations warrant severe repercussions.Shariatmadari demanded that Iran’s government immediately bar Grossi from entering the country, citing his supposed role as an agent of the Israeli regime.“The least punishment for this identified agent of the Zionist regime is, first, to deny him entry to Iran, and second, to prosecute him internationally for spying for Mossad,” he said.Additionally, he called for Iran to pursue an international criminal complaint against Grossi, accusing him of espionage on behalf of Israel.“Iran must prosecute him internationally for spying for the Zionist regime,” Shariatmadari asserted, arguing that such legal action is essential to address the gravity of the claims. The accusations stem from what Shariatmadari described as compelling evidence that has recently come to light, though he did not specify the nature or source of these documents. His statements reflect a broader narrative of distrust toward international organizations, particularly the IAEA, which has been engaged in ongoing inspections of Iran’s nuclear program.Shariatmadari’s rhetoric aligns with the ultra-conservative stance of Kayhan, which often critiques Western influence and Israel’s actions in the region.

U S Has No Right To Dictate Anything To Iran Administration Spokesperson
has reportedly stated that only Iranians, and not other forces, should decide on matters pertaining to Iran's national interests, including the nuclear program, as reported by the Iranian News Agency IRNA on Wednesday, June 11. Iranian government spokesman Fatemeh Mohajerani reaffirmed this stance in an interview with Lebanon's Al Mayadeen TV network on Tuesday night, June 10. Specifically addressing Iran's nuclear program, Mohajerani emphasised that the US "has no right to dictate" what the Islamic republic should or should not have in its arsenal. Decisions are taken entirely in accordance with Iran's national interests and strategic considerations, she emphasised. An official from Tehran's official spokesman stressed that the Islamic Republic's stance on indirect talks with the United States administration has not changed. These talks centre on Iran's desire to end what it calls "unjust sanctions" and have the world acknowledge that its nuclear programs are peaceful. She pointed out that while Iran is keen in having talks, the country's actions stem from concerns for its sovereignty and strategic interests. Mohajerani expressed doubt about Israel's involvement in the continuing diplomatic initiatives while discussing regional dynamics. She claims that Iran has warned the US for a long time that Israel will try to derail the negotiations that are being mediated by the Omani administration. It will lead to its global humiliation, she asserted, but the Israeli regime will not hesitate to hinder the discussions. In addition, she asserted that Iran's intelligence apparatus has amassed substantial nuclear and military data about Israel, suggesting that Iranian security forces may disclose part of this classified knowledge when the time is right. Mohajerani further emphasised that Iran is ready for any possible result in the ongoing negotiations. She made it clear that while she hoped for an agreement and economic relief, she was also ready for the possibility that discussions might fail and sanctions would remain in place. Highlighting Iran's unrealised potential in a variety of industries, the spokesperson extended an invitation to international companies to investigate investment prospects in the country. She emphasised that investments would be overseen by customised regulations that guarantee mutual advantage and safety. By noting that the Islamic Republic places a premium on diplomatic and economic ties with neighbouring nations, Mohajerani concluded by restating Iran's strategic orientation towards regional cooperation. West Asia had the necessary resources, infrastructure, and people capital to transform into a prominent international economic zone," she stated as her conclusion.

It would be better to crush them financially than to crush them militarily Mike Huckabee
US President Donald Trump prefers to financially cripple Iran rather than pursue military intervention to tackle its nuclear ambitions and regional activities, as stated by Mike Huckabee, the US ambassador to Israel.According to a report by Iran International, this approach shows a focus on economic pressure as a means to compel Tehran to alter its course, avoiding the complexities and consequences of armed conflict in the volatile Middle East region.During a podcast interview, Huckabee expressed hope for a non-military resolution, indicating that he would be thrilled if a diplomatic solution to the situation with Iran could be achieved. He suggested that President Trump is actively pursuing this path, believing firmly that the president prioritizes peace over confrontation. This perspective aligns with the administration’s efforts to seek a resolution through dialogue, aiming to de-escalate tensions without resorting to military measures.Huckabee further explained that Trump has consistently emphasized that Iran must never possess a nuclear device.According to the ambassador, the president insists that Iran completely dismantle its nuclear program and cease all forms of enrichment.Huckabee noted that these principles represent Trump’s unwavering stance and guiding policies, reflecting a hardline position aimed at preventing Iran from advancing toward nuclear weapon capabilities and ensuring regional stability. The ambassador also highlighted Trump’s inclination toward economic measures, clarifying that the president believes it is preferable to bankrupt Iran rather than engage in military action against them.Huckabee conveyed that, in Trump’s view, crushing Iran financially offers a better alternative to military strikes, as it pressures Tehran to comply without the devastating costs of war.In his words, “The president would rather bankrupt them than bomb them. That’s his view. It would be better to crush them financially than it would be to crush them militarily.

US Trying in Vain to Limit Iran s Oil Exports Says Tehran And Will Not Be Intimidated
Minister Mohsen Paknejad has strongly criticized ongoing U.S. efforts to restrict Iran’s oil exports, declaring them ineffective and ultimately doomed to fail. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a cabinet meeting in Tehran on Wednesday Paknejad dismissed Washington’s renewed “maximum pressure” campaign as a repeat of failed policies from former President Donald Trump’s first term in office. According to reports from Farsnews Agency, “the U.S. claim about cutting Iran’s oil exports to zero is completely unrealistic and impractical” the minister stated. “Despite the political noise and continued sanctions Iran’s oil exports are not only continuing they are growing.”President Trump who reimposed a series of harsh sanctions on Iran after unilaterally withdrawing from the past nuclear agreement has revived his hardline approach toward Tehran since returning to office. The White House has signaled renewed efforts to curtail Iran’s economic lifelines particularly in the energy sector aiming to pressure the Iranian government back to the negotiating table. However, Iranian officials have remained defiant arguing that such tactics have not and will not succeed. Paknejad pointed to recent figures showing a steady rise in Iran’s oil exports with estimates indicating an average of 1.8 million barrels per day being shipped to international buyers.“These sanctions have failed to have a considerable impact on Iran’s crude oil exports. We are resilient and we have found multiple ways to bypass the restrictions,” Paknejad emphasized. He added that Iran has developed a range of strategies and partnerships to maintain oil sales despite U.S. sanctions, including alternate trade routes and agreements with key allies. The Iranian government continues to frame the sanctions as not only economically ineffective but also politically isolating for the United States. “We believe firmly that we can overcome these restrictions. The world needs energy and Iran is a reliable supplier” Paknejad said.Experts say that while sanctions have complicated Iran’s ability to trade openly on global markets the Islamic Republic has increasingly relied on a network of covert shipping practices, regional alliances and barter arrangements to keep its oil flowing. As tensions remain high, Iran’s stance suggests it will continue to challenge Washington’s economic pressure betting that global energy demands and geopolitical shifts will eventually favor Tehran’s position over time.

We will see what happens we have given notice to move out and we will see what happens
In a recent statement, President Donald Trump offered a cryptic update on potential future actions, while reiterating a firm stance against Iran obtaining nuclear weapons.Speaking to reporters, Trump said, “We’ll see what happens, we’ve given notice to move out, and we’ll see what happens. He did not elaborate on what the notice referred to, leaving room for speculation about whether he meant a business decision, political maneuver, or a broader strategic move.Trump’s ambiguous comment comes amid growing international attention on U.S. foreign policy positions, especially concerning the Middle East. The president’s remarks were made during a brief media appearance, where he also shifted focus to Iran, underlining a red line that he has consistently upheld.“They can’t have a nuclear weapon, very simple, we’re not going to allow that, Trump said, emphasizing his continued hardline approach to Tehran’s nuclear ambitions. His administration had previously withdrawn from the 2015 Iran nuclear deal, citing concerns that it was not strict enough to prevent Iran from developing nuclear capabilities.Trump’s comments arrive at a time when U.S-Iran relations remain strained, and negotiations over nuclear restrictions have stalled.International watchdogs have raised alarms over Iran’s uranium enrichment activities, with some reports suggesting it is nearing weapons-grade levels. The president’s latest remarks may signal a potential re-entry into political influence or foreign policy commentary ahead of the 2024 election cycle. However, with little clarification provided, observers remain uncertain about the specific implications of his notice to move out.For now, Trump's stance on Iran remains crystal clear, no nuclear weapons, as for his next move, “We’ll see what happen

Netanyahu Survives Opposition s Attempt To Dissolve Parliament
Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing coalition survived a major political test on Thursday after the Knesset rejected an opposition-led bid to dissolve parliament and trigger early elections, AFP reported. The motion was defeated by a vote of 61 to 53 in the 120-seat legislature, despite speculation that some ultra-Orthodox members of Netanyahu’s coalition might back the move over disagreements on military service exemptions. The opposition, made up largely of centrist and left-wing factions, had hoped to exploit growing divisions within the coalition, particularly over a contentious draft law addressing exemptions for ultra-Orthodox men from compulsory military service. However, while a few ultra-Orthodox lawmakers voted in favour of the bill, the majority ultimately supported the government, ensuring its survival at least for now.The failed motion means the opposition must wait six months before it can attempt to bring forward another bill to dissolve parliament. Before the vote, Yuli Edelstein, a lawmaker from Netanyahu’s right-wing Likud party, announced that after lengthy discussions, parties had agreed on the “principles on which the draft conscription law will be based”.Though details were not disclosed, Edelstein said the proposed legislation would aim to expand military recruitment and strengthen national security.“As I said all along — only a real, effective bill that leads to an expansion of the (Israeli military’s) recruitment base will emerge from the committee I chair.“This is historic news, and we are on the path to real reform in Israeli society and strengthening the security of the State of Israel,” he wrote on social media platform X.The debate over ultra-Orthodox military exemptions has become increasingly urgent during Israel’s ongoing conflict in Gaza, now nearing 20 months. The Israel Defence Forces have faced manpower shortages, increasing calls for all sectors of society to contribute to the war effort.Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich warned that forcing early elections during wartime would endanger the country’s future.“History will not forgive anyone who drags the state of Israel into elections during a war,” Smotrich told parliament, adding that there was a “national and security need” for ultra-Orthodox to fight in the military.Meanwhile, opposition leader Yair Lapid described the coalition’s survival as a sign of political decay rather than strength.“When coalitions begin to fall apart, they fall apart. It started and this is what it looks like when a government begins to collapse,” he said.Lapid criticised the ultra-Orthodox parties for choosing to preserve exemptions from military service rather than stand with the government during wartime. He accused Netanyahu’s administration of facilitating the exemption of “tens of thousands of healthy young people.”Communications Minister Shlomo Karhi countered the criticism, asserting the coalition remains stable and committed to governing.
