Rafael Grossi must be denied entry to Iran due to his exposed connections with Mossad —Shariatmadari
Hossein Shariatmadari
chief of Iran’s ultra-conservative Kayhan Hossein Shariatmadari, has publicly accused Rafael Grossi, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), of espionage, alleging ties to Israel’s Mossad intelligence agency.
In a report by Iran International, Hossein Shariatmadari claimed that newly uncovered documents reveal Grossi’s covert collaboration with Mossad, framing it as a deliberate act of betrayal against Iran’s interests.
He urged Iranian authorities to take decisive action, insisting that Grossi’s alleged affiliations warrant severe repercussions.
Shariatmadari demanded that Iran’s government immediately bar Grossi from entering the country, citing his supposed role as an agent of the Israeli regime.
“The least punishment for this identified agent of the Zionist regime is, first, to deny him entry to Iran, and second, to prosecute him internationally for spying for Mossad,” he said.
Additionally, he called for Iran to pursue an international criminal complaint against Grossi, accusing him of espionage on behalf of Israel.
“Iran must prosecute him internationally for spying for the Zionist regime,” Shariatmadari asserted, arguing that such legal action is essential to address the gravity of the claims.
The accusations stem from what Shariatmadari described as compelling evidence that has recently come to light, though he did not specify the nature or source of these documents.
His statements reflect a broader narrative of distrust toward international organizations, particularly the IAEA, which has been engaged in ongoing inspections of Iran’s nuclear program.
Shariatmadari’s rhetoric aligns with the ultra-conservative stance of Kayhan, which often critiques Western influence and Israel’s actions in the region.
