U.S. Has No Right To Dictate Anything To Iran: Administration Spokesperson
Fatemeh Mohajerani
has reportedly stated that only Iranians, and not other forces, should decide on matters pertaining to Iran's national interests, including the nuclear program, as reported by the Iranian News Agency IRNA on Wednesday, June 11.
Iranian government spokesman Fatemeh Mohajerani reaffirmed this stance in an interview with Lebanon's Al Mayadeen TV network on Tuesday night, June 10. Specifically addressing Iran's nuclear program, Mohajerani emphasised that the US "has no right to dictate" what the Islamic republic should or should not have in its arsenal.
Decisions are taken entirely in accordance with Iran's national interests and strategic considerations, she emphasised. An official from Tehran's official spokesman stressed that the Islamic Republic's stance on indirect talks with the United States administration has not changed.
These talks centre on Iran's desire to end what it calls "unjust sanctions" and have the world acknowledge that its nuclear programs are peaceful. She pointed out that while Iran is keen in having talks, the country's actions stem from concerns for its sovereignty and strategic interests.
Mohajerani expressed doubt about Israel's involvement in the continuing diplomatic initiatives while discussing regional dynamics.
She claims that Iran has warned the US for a long time that Israel will try to derail the negotiations that are being mediated by the Omani administration. It will lead to its global humiliation, she asserted, but the Israeli regime will not hesitate to hinder the discussions.
In addition, she asserted that Iran's intelligence apparatus has amassed substantial nuclear and military data about Israel, suggesting that Iranian security forces may disclose part of this classified knowledge when the time is right.
Mohajerani further emphasised that Iran is ready for any possible result in the ongoing negotiations.
She made it clear that while she hoped for an agreement and economic relief, she was also ready for the possibility that discussions might fail and sanctions would remain in place.
Highlighting Iran's unrealised potential in a variety of industries, the spokesperson extended an invitation to international companies to investigate investment prospects in the country.
She emphasised that investments would be overseen by customised regulations that guarantee mutual advantage and safety.
By noting that the Islamic Republic places a premium on diplomatic and economic ties with neighbouring nations, Mohajerani concluded by restating Iran's strategic orientation towards regional cooperation.
West Asia had the necessary resources, infrastructure, and people capital to transform into a prominent international economic zone," she stated as her conclusion.
